The Magic of Fall

The Magic of Fall

Good Day Friends and Family of Art 1274!

Here we are! Fall is upon us like the early frost over my late blooming flowers. Crisp apples, cheek pinching fall breezes, sweaters, cocoa with marshmallows and of course all things “pumpkin spice”.

This is my most favourite season of all. Expectation is a word that comes to mind when I think of October. Expect the days to suddenly grow short. Expect the wind to suddenly blow up your coat sleeves. Expect to see my beautiful sugar maple stripped bare by that same wind and stand naked and shivering, her golden robes now laying at her feet.

Of course you can always expect a surprise from the Gallery at this time of year. As mentioned in my September blog we have a special Treat for you in our Five Objects Project. No tricks except for you to come see this amazing work and try to find the hidden Objects in each Artist’s interpretation. We will welcome you with hot cider and cookies on the Eve of October 19th as we celebrate Nocturne and our special exhibit.

Now, if you will indulge me a little shameless self promotion. It’s my turn to shine, strut my stuff and show you what I have been working on. I am excited to share with you my own Featured Artist work for November!

My show, Where my Heart Is, walking a more peaceful path… celebrates my life here on the North Shore. I am hoping this new work will express to you the love I have for my home in the country - a place where the land is kissed by the sea and embraced by a sky that is so big and colourful it makes my heart sing! It’s where I get inspiration for my Art, my music and my writing.

I’d love to see you at my Opening Reception, November 2nd from 3 till 5.

See you at the Gallery!

Cris
