Collection: Bonnie Baillie - Jeweler
Bonnie Baillie has always been intrigued by how things are made. Embodying the spirt of life-long learning, this self-taught jewellery artisan is always on the lookout for new techniques and media. Starting in the mid 90s, she has discovered the wonderful worlds of metalsmithing, enamelling, metal-clay, and Kumihimo beading resulting in unique and meticulously designed jewellery pieces.
Now retired, Bonnie is thrilled to spend many tranquil hours in her workshop studying, designing, experimenting, and creating. Trial and error and the willingness to fail but to start again is her mantra. She loves anything that is organic, textured, geometric, and has movement whether from fabric, gemstones, textured items, or landscapes. When working with silver, copper, beautiful gemstones and beads, the possibilities are endless. Her unique jewelry shows the care and attention to detail that are important to her process.
She became a member of Art 1274 Hollis in 1996 and has lived with her husband Larry near beautiful Lawrencetown Beach since 1973.
