Eye'll Be Seeing You
Eye’ll Be Seeing You” dives into an exploration of vision and perception by playing on the idea of nearsightedness and farsightedness. The work is influenced by my personal journey towards vision improvement. Having recently navigated the challenges and joys of better sight; I was inspired to celebrate this progress in my art. What makes this piece particularly special is the use of collage and encaustics, lending it a unique texture and depth that invites viewers to step closer and explore every detail. The texture, a hallmark of encaustic painting is layered to create depth, embodying the complex of vision itself. I aim to invite viewers to consider the nuances of their own perceptions, framed in a light – hearted and imaginative manner. It is a celebration of sight, both literal and metaphorical, where every colourful lens and blurred detail tells a story of our ever-evolving ways of seeing.
