Geraniums in Grandma’s Window

Grandma lived next door to our house, and she grew the most beautiful flowers that bloomed almost all winter, and I loved to smell and to touch the leaves of geraniums. The smell of them to this day has me thinking of my grandmother who was the town midwife in a farming community close to Saskatoon. She delivered six of my mother’s children in a seven year span.
